The Art Locker travels to shared places where community lives and people can gather. Created to disrupt loneliness by offering us small traces of other people to connect with.

Inside the locker are Notes, Gifts, Art, marks of care.

We are not made to move through this world alone. We are part of something more than us. We need each other. So go on…

Each locker has its own name and its own purpose.

The Lucky Locker

This is a place to explore and discover little surprises in the art locker. You never know what small treasures or interesting finds might be waiting inside.

You are welcome to take something that catches your eye or sparks your curiosity. If you have something creative, fun, or useful that does not quite fit into the other categories, it can find a home here for someone else to discover.

Take something if it brings you joy.
Add something if you would like to share the luck.

The Letter Locker

This is a place to explore and discover written messages left by others in the art locker. You might find a kind note, a thoughtful reflection, a piece of poetry, or a message that feels like it was written just for you.

Inside this locker are hanging bottles where you can place rolled up messages, as well as bulldog clips for hanging letters.

These bottles and clips are part of the locker display, so please leave them here. If you take a message, please only take the letter and leave the bottle or clip for others to use.

There is also a looking book in this locker. Please do not take the book, but you are welcome to write something inside it for others to read.

Take a letter if it feels like it was made for you.

The Land Locker

This is a place to explore and discover small treasures that connect us to the land and the natural world. You might find stones, shells, leaves, seeds, drawings of nature, or poems about the outdoors waiting inside.

If you come across something special outdoors or create something inspired by nature that you would like to share, you are welcome to leave it here for someone else to discover. Natural objects, nature inspired drawings, and written reflections about the land are all perfect for this space.

Take something if it brings you joy.
Add something if you would like to share a piece of the land.

You never know what natural treasure might be waiting inside.

The Leftover Locker

This is a place for unfinished things, for future collaborations, for guilty WIPs (Works in progress) for abandoned projects too good to scrap entirely… They can come here to be rescued, or rejuvenated, or even to find a collaboration buddy! You’ll find things to be finished and regifted inside.

If you have something that might inspire someone to finish, or give someone a hand to get going, you are welcome to leave it here for others to discover.

The Local Locker

This is a place to explore and discover things that celebrate the local area and community. You might find local stories, drawings of places nearby, small maps, recommendations, or notes about favourite spots waiting inside.

If you have something connected to the local area that you would like to share, you are welcome to leave it here for others to discover. This could be a drawing of a local place, a story, a memory, a recommendation, or something that helps others connect with the community around them.

Take something if it interests you or inspires you.
Add something if you would like to share a little piece of the local area.

The Lavender Locker (LGBTQIA+)

This is a place to explore and discover things that celebrate LGBTQIA+ identity, community, and self expression. You might find pride notes, drawings, poems, stories, or small creations that reflect queer experiences waiting inside.

If you would like to share something connected to LGBTQIA+ life, identity, or pride, you are welcome to leave it here for others to discover. This could be a message of support, a piece of art, a reflection, or something that helps someone feel seen or understood.
